i'm all hung up again

This was a complicated drawing. Drawing the compartments was complicated. Drawing the contents of each compartment was even more complicated. It was nearly as complicated as rocket science. Most definitely as complicated as quantum physics. Yet not as complicated as using my DVD remote control. All in all, it's safe to say, it was quite complicated. And long. Yes, it took a long time. A very long time. It took longer than the longest longboat took to get from Longsville to...erm...Longland. That long.

So, to reiterate; this drawing was complicated. And long.

Oh dear, all those overlapping hooky bits. But I'm not sure I understand why this would take so much longer than all your other stuff that also looks like it would take days to draw.

lovely!

This one is very nice! I love the fact that the empty bins are just as interesting as the ones that are full of hardware. Not an easy task! the entire drawing holds together as a whole.

picture hanging supplies are a great choice of subject matter. the hardest part is drawing the hangers that the nail goes through on an angle-it's a complicated shape! you've done it well-congrats!

I feel very small...no only would I find that drawing daunting, my hanging paraphernalia is not neatly stored like yours.
Lovely piece of work.

oh my Andrea, this is wonderful. Though it looks almost as though it must have taken quite long ... and it looks rather complicated ... :D

what makes this special, (and unfortunate for us internet viewers) is that when you open and close the book, you open and close the container. eee how sweet!!!

lovely. x

As usual great job. How long did it take? And do you use a ruler to get all those straight lines?

Gsoh, did it take long Andrea? ;) Seriously, I was thinking the same as Jason, is it perhaps that you didn't enjoy the subject so much?

Gsoh? Gosh, I have typist's dyslexia!

But you are the queen of detail! Your drawings are so beautiful and I love the colours you've been using lately!

Thanks folks.

This one didn't really take as long as others I have drawn. I think the difference is that I drew it all in one day. Usually I work on the lengthy pieces over a few days - sometimes weeks - doing bits at a time. But because I did it all in one go it just kind of wiped me out. I actually felt quite pissed off with the drawing by the end! Which is probably why I had the rant.

(And my dvd player didn't record the programme I'd been waiting to see ALL week. Probably another reason for the bad mood.)

Saying that, I am going to give this subject another go. I really like the left hand page, but dislike the right. A lot.

Jeanneg, I did use a ruler in parts.

Cheers everyone. You make my day.
